Other Local Volunteer Opportunities

Our Partner Agencies and other area non-profits are also in need of volunteers. Some opportunities include:

Meals on Wheels of Erath County
Erath County Senior Citizens, dba Meals on Wheels of Erath County needs volunteers to deliver hot lunches to homebound elderly residents. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday in Stephenville and Dublin. Volunteers are also needed to help out around the office compiling new client records, calling MOW's remote, rural clients daily and helping out with events and fundraisers. Please contact Whitney Lee at 254-965-3510 or visit www.erathmow.org to sign up as a volunteer. *Please note all volunteers must undergo a background check.    

STAR Council on Substance Abuse
Seeking volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors. For more information, contact Marilyn Pipes at 254-965-5515 Ext. 222 or mpipes@starcouncil.org

Texas Neighborhood Services
TNS needs volunteers at its Head Start and Early Head Start Centers. Volunteers can assist in the classroom by reading books to children and or assisting with getting materials ready for at the classroom. Additionally, volunteers who can provide their own lawn equipment are needed to do yard work and help keep playground areas cleaned up.  All volunteers must undergo a background check and a volunteer orientation/training.
